COVID-19 Hazard Pay Grant: General Notice

The Michigan Department of Treasury has released a MI Classroom Heroes grant for GSRP, Head Start, Adult Education, and Young Adult (age 18-26) Special Education Teachers that taught one of these programs during the 2019/2020 school year and meet the grant requirements. These teachers may be eligible for a hazard pay stipend up to $500.00.  The amount of the stipend will be prorated for part-time staff based on their FTE.  

No Bendle Public School staff were deemed eligible for this grant.  Bendle Public School employees that believe they may be eligible for the grant may appeal to the Bendle Administration Office in writing by April 9, 2021To qualify for the hazard pay, eligible staff must return Form 5741 to Bendle Public Schools by April 9, 2021. Failure to return Form 5741 to the Bendle Administration Office by this deadline would make the employee ineligible for grant funding.
